VACANCY - Casual Activator (s)
Due to the expansion of our term 4 RIPPA/RIP Rugby programme, we are seeking a number of CASUAL ACTIVATORS in Western Bay, Central Bay and Eastern Bay to join our amazing casual activator workforce to excite our tamariki into the world of rugby.
Bay of Plenty Rugby is the third largest provincial rugby union in New Zealand, has a rapidly growing women’s game and is renowned as the home of 7s. Our Community rugby team delivers all forms of rugby across the region from juniors (U6-U13), secondary schools (U14 – 1st XV), seniors (Senior Men and Senior Women) and U16 & U18 boys and girls representative teams. Included in the community space is coach, referee and team managers development, competition administration support for our clubs, schools and volunteer committees and the fastest growing area of all, RIPPA and Rip Rugby.
We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic people to join our Casual Activator Team within the Community Rugby Dept to get out on the grass during term 3 with our tamariki at primary and intermediate schools and excite them into having a go and play some RIPPA and RIP Rugby in term 4.
To be successful in this role you will be hard working, diligent, passionate about making a difference to the lives of our tamariki, organised, with a sharp eye for attention to detail. A rugby background is desired, but a fun, outgoing personality and the ability to work with kids or all ages a must.
The role will suit a university student studying and looking for some extra work or someone looking for part time work during school hours.
You will have a clean police record (Police Vetting may be performed) and own a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel to schools in the region where you live.
We provide a uniform, all gear and equipment and a chance to work in the rugby world.
Successful casual activators are often called upon to deliver RIPPA modules in terms 4 and 1 and some have gone on to become part time and full time Bay of Plenty Rugby employees.
