AR Plus to support Bay of Plenty Senior Club Rugby

 Community Rugby

Jarrod McKeown, Owner of AR Plus knows what it takes to keep a Rugby Club going. His 7 years as Te Puke Pirates Premier Captain along with 200+ Premier games as a Pirate has been the driver to want to give back to club rugby again.

Bay of Plenty Rugby are pleased to announce AR Plus as the naming rights partner to all of our Senior Mens and Womens Club Rugby competitions for 2024 and 2025.

AR Plus Senior Club Rugby kicks off across the province on the 13th April and concludes with finals on the 27th July. Competition grades include Premier Men, Premier Women and Championship Women, Eastern Bay Men, Central Bay Men, Western Bay Men and Baywide Colts / U85.

AR Plus are specialists in Asbestos Removal, Painting and Interior Plastering  and have branches in Tauranga and Rotorua. AR Plus have been in the Bay for 30 Years and in 2024 they celebrate this milestone.

Jarod McKeown comments, “we are really excited to be the naming rights partner to “AR Plus Senior Rugby. The 100 plus year history of the club game in Bay of Plenty shows how important it is to the community and AR Plus are really looking forward to contributing and being part of that history”.

“AR Plus are fortunate to have had incredible support from the community and that’s how we have got to being in business for 30 years.

“My immediate memories are how Te Puke Pirates have become a real force in club rugby but equally I remember how strong Whakarewarewa have been or Whakatane Marist, Rotoiti or Rangataua. It takes a huge amount of effort from lots of passionate volunteers to make a club not only exist but to achieve organisational success like winning a Premier competition. On behalf of AR Plus we wish all clubs and their teams, all the very best for this years competitons”.

Pat Rae, GM Community Rugby comments, “We welcome AR Plus as the naming rights partner for AR Plus Senior Rugby. AR Plus are a new partner but with an intimate understanding of our province, clubs and the competitions. Its great to see someone like Jarrod wanting to continue supporting the sport he obviously loves”.

AR Plus Legend Award

As part of the AR Plus partnership, throughout the course of the club season a monthly award will be presented to one player who has achieved a playing milestone. This might be 100 or 200 or even 300 games for their club. Reaching of the milestone must be in the current 2024 season and not retrospective. Clubs are asked to email admin@boprugby.co.nz with their nomination and player details. The monthly recipient will be announced in the last week of each month the competition runs.
