Brandt powering the Steamers & Volcanix

Bay of Plenty Rugby is pleased to announce a new partnership with local farm machinery brand, Brandt. Bay of Plenty is part of the growing presence Brandt is establishing through rural NZ. Brandt is the sole distributor of John Deere tractors and farm machinery in the North Island.

Brandt branches offer an extensive product range that includes residential and commercial ride-on mowers, large and compact tractors, construction equipment, and more. This family-owned company started in a single location in Canada and has since expanded globally.

At the heart of the partnership are two keen Bay of Plenty Rugby men, Damian Wharepapa and Hayden Riddell, Branch Managers for Brandt Te Puke and Brandt Rotorua.

Damian Wharepapa comments on the partnership, “Like Bay of Plenty Rugby, Brandt has strong connections with rural communities and we are always looking for ways to support and engage with these communities. Hayden and I were both impressed at what Bay of Plenty Rugby are trying to achieve in the community and the big increases in boys and girls participation. We also liked how the union is connecting with rural communities to grow the game.

Hayden Riddell comments, “Brandt is excited to begin this partnership with BOP Rugby. There is tremendous strength in both brands and there is great opportunity to build the partnership over time. Hayden continues, Ive got some great memories of playing and being involved in rugby. The mateship built through playing are lifelong and many of our Brandt clients also value what Rugby provides young people and the role that Rugby clubs play in rural communities.

Partnership Manager, Neil Alton comments. BOP Rugby welcome Brandt onto the team. Hayden and Damian both value what Rugby provides our communities including the role of the Steamers and Volcanix for talented young players. The partnership will see Brandt hosting a number of clients at games. Brandt will also be showcasing some of their impressive machinery at match venues. The Brandt brand will also appear on the number 11 jersey of the Steamers and Volcanix.
